How you will make an impact?  

Working in one of our major Technical Platforms, Master Data Foundation,  will give you the opportunity to deep dive into the METRO business and the solutions that deliver a single source of truth and advanced governance. 

 Your role will be to translate business priorities into technical solutions to ensure consistency, compliance and reliability for customer master data solutions.  

Your Responsibilities:  

• Supporting the METRO Group corporate applications addressing core business needs like accurate and business relevant customer master data;
• Monitoring & reporting of data flows, in real time, between existing productive systems, meeting specific deadlines; 
•  Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues on live production environments; 
• Translating customer master data business requirements into technical solutions; 
•  Assessing, troubleshooting and escalating data related issues to specialized teams when necessary.  

Required key competencies and qualifications: 

• Knowledge of SQL language: performing queries, ability to understand basic SQL code; 
• Prior experience working with master data related solutions;
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills; 
• Proactive, result oriented team-player with the ability to work independently also; 
• Ability to respect deadlines and prioritize a busy workload; 
• Good verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills; 
• Able to define problems and identify solutions; 
• Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
