How you will make an impact?  

M.POS Air is the new Metro’s checkout core solution which is user-friendly, secure, innovative, mobile and always available. It has to compute the amount to pay, tailored for every type of customer, in a smooth and accurate manner, to provide a performant invoicing and payment solution and also user management functionalities, keeping continuously in mind to enable the best user experience. Please note that this role is open also for candidates in Brasov and Cluj.

Your Responsibilities:  

• Being involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery and operation; 
• Developing high quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles; 
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security and performance; 
• Collaborating with other engineers or team members on various layers of the infrastructure, in order to design and launch new features; 
• Interacting with the client in order to understand and characterize their needs and advise them if necessary. 

Required key competencies and qualifications: 

• Mandatory experience with JavaScript on frontend side web & mobile (React.JS, React Native, TypeScript); 
• Mandatory experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, Jotai, etc); 
• Knowledge of microservices architecture;  
• Strong experience with testing React frontends;  
• Working experience with version control (Git); 
• Docker, Kubernetes knowledge and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions);  
• Experience with cloud technologies is a plus (e.g. GCP); 
• You should be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility, keen on adding customer value into a modern system meant to be used worldwide by METRO suppliers;  
• Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
